How should I schedule a consultation or appointment?

Are your services covered by medical insurance?

We are a cash practice. When doctors agree to accept payments from health insurers, they must also agree to many other rules and restrictions. Sometimes complicated rules require more expenses and restrict a doctor’s decisions. Ironically, having health insurance often results in more expensive and worse quality care. By not participating with insurance contracts, we are free to make decisions with you about what is best for your care–at the same time spending more time with you and charging less. Our wellness packages might be a good option for you.

How much time will each visit be?

Our treatments are results-oriented and outcome based. The health and wellness industry has trained consumers to equate more time with more value. Dr. Marianne has the advanced training to accomplish more in less time and still be extremely effective. Treatments are 9 to 60 minutes, depending on the patient’s needs.

In addition, you are being educated about what we are doing and why we are doing it during the session. It is a lot of information to take in. We would rather feed it to you in small, digestible bites. It is not our intention to overload your brain, leaving you more confused than when you came in. Our goal is to help you with your wellness challenges and then teach you how not to need us anymore. That is a very empowering feeling!

What do I do during a BEST treatment?

Make yourself comfortable. Depending on the primary technique Dr. Marianne uses, she may want to adjust your position. She will either move you or will ask you to move what is needed. Otherwise, change your position anytime to make yourself more comfortable.  Many people close their eyes and relax completely during a session while others prefer to talk. It’s up to you. It is your treatment, and whatever feels natural to you is the best way to relax. Do not hesitate to ask any questions anytime.

How will I feel after my BEST treatment?

Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity. After the initial period of treatment, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and a greater sense of well-being.

What should I expect for my first time?

The initial visit is generally an hour long. The session starts with an in-depth interview and ends with a treatment. The interview is Dr. Marianne’s opportunity to get to see what is going on. She tries to understand both the specifics of the issues you'd like help resolving as well as get a global view of how you’re doing. This helps immeasurably when developing an effective treatment plan.

The treatment itself may include a variety of modalities. The point of the treatment is to effect change for the patient,  and in order to do that Dr. Marianne uses many holistic techniques. She may use chiropractic, medical massage techniques, or offer lifestyle/dietary recommendations.

Dr. Marianne will lay out a treatment plan that advises how often you should come for follow-up visits. Follow-up appointments are generally 15 minutes to 1 hour depending on your budget and time constraints. The bulk of the time is spent in the treatment portion, This means more time is focused on getting you to feel great again.

How many sessions do I need?

For many patients, the treatment can work like magic. Dr. Marianne has helped patients who are suffering from 10 out of 10 pain in as little as a single session. However, not every problem responds that quickly. Each person will respond differently to his or her treatment; this is why it can be difficult to pinpoint how many sessions you will need. Some issues are recalcitrant and end up taking weekly sessions for an extended period of time. Other problems will disappear in a visit or two. The best I can do is to provide a high level of service and to promise to be open with you about my thoughts on the situation.

If you are not sure which services you need or you require more information to make a decision on whether or not we are the right fit for your circumstances, let’s talk about it. Let’s discuss your situation and what you are experiencing and find out. If I can’t help you, I probably know someone local who can.

  1. Call and schedule a complimentary 15 minute phone consultation with Dr. Marianne or skip ahead and…

  2. Schedule your comprehensive new patient consultation and exam. You’ll receive treatment that first visit.

What should I look for in a doctor?

There are doctors doing phenomenal work right out of school. That being said, be a smart consumer and ask about the continuing education courses your doctor has completed since graduation. Ask what they specialize in. Doctors are required to do 50 hours of CEUs every year. Twenty five years in business increases the value of the treatment.  If you want to feel long- term relief from chronic stress, anxiety, and pain, Dr. Marianne is for you.

What happens during a Foundational Nutrition session?

We will begin with a conversation about YOU!...and a 300 question Nutritional Assessment (this is done online at home and it takes about 30 minutes to complete and the results are sent to Dr. Marianne for review). From there, if additional testing is needed (bloodwork, stool analysis, food sensitivity) it will be ordered. We will discuss 6 key areas in your life: Eating, Drinking, Breathing,Resting, Moving/Exercising & Feelings/Emotions and make recommendations for improvements. Dr. Marianne will also give you food plans to benefit your individual body.
